I Lost My Train of Thought

Common sense says you should stretch your body. It makes your body flexible, less injury prone. When we don’t stretch, our muscles become tight, tired, and our body feels achy. We lose energy and become a tad bit whiny.

While not as common, the mind also needs to be stretched. It needs to explore, challenge, solve, wander, or otherwise be free to make connections it doesn’t usually make.

When you involve stretching your mind in your daily routine, your mind becomes nimble. It becomes easier to think through an idea, to accept new ideas, and to find new connections no one else can make.
